3.5 miles in the woods. Not bad for coming off a cold and not having run in two weeks.

What a crummy ‘run;’ 2.88 miles in 32.27. Had to walk a third of the route.
Perhaps I shouldn’t have mown the lawn then run at noon. Heat and humidity are a vicious couple of hags.
50:40.75 on the trails. Much better than yesterday, but running at noon is clearly idiotic.
I am a lumbering beast, but at 90*, that was not too bad.
Serious heat coming on. Forecast of 102 today, one oh freaking six tomorrow.
I am not a morning runner. Ugh. 2.64 miles in 28:51. Hot already and it’s not even 9 o’clock. Why am I out of bed?
Not too bad, I guess. 5K this weekend, hopefully I’ll break 30 with all my trail work.
Hills and trails
34:51 on a pretty flat, crushed granite track. Lots of people in couch to 5K group, none at my pace, but still, great to see so many people out enjoying one of our nicer parks.
Now I’m going to get some lo mein and have a couple beers. Moderation in all things.

Last two nights I’ve had dreams about high school sports and not being ready for a test. I think that I’m channeling my anxiety about being a bad teacher into this weirdness. I never have these kinds of dreams.
Two nights ago I was somehow on the varsity ice hockey team (I was a terrible hockey player) and when the coach, who is dead, told me to get on the line for conditioning sprints, my skate laces were undone, and worse, were made of costume jewelry chains. And the laces were so long they went up my legs to my thighs. Great work brain!
Last night I was having the ‘unprepared for the exam’ dream for the first time in my life. I’ve never had that dream before despite having taken MA and Ph.D. comps and orals. Deeeeeelightful.
All I can do is work harder on Blackboard and my grading, I guess.
