26:38.5 for 3 miles. Nice little run with the pooch.
The last is for a class I haven’t taught since 1998 or so, and one that I’m not really all that qualified to teach. Yay.
So now I’m going to go run as far as I can. Hoping to do the full 9 miles of the trail, but I’ve been gassed the last few runs. We’ll see.
Trail run with added bonus: another fall. That makes about four in last month. My knees a little skinned, but you should see the root I kicked—it won’t mess with the next runner by, I guarantee that.
Or around 4.5 miles or so. Nice two day total: ~2 hours, 11 miles or so.
Best of all: I didn’t trip on anything. Eloise had a good time too-even got to off leash for a bit.
It’s 95* out so, sure, why not?
Trail run that was hot as fiyah. Felt great, actually.
Worked on my form—I’d been landing too much on towards the toes which led to the shin splints.
Tonight, worked on not reaching with each stride, but to plant lightly under my center of gravity, 180 bpm. Felt great.
Did about 7 miles. Rest tomorrow, long run on Tuesday. Can’t wait.
Three times up and down the ~1/2 mile hill on my regular trail run. My shin splints did not like it. TFB.
The city was out mowing the grass in the park, and by city I mean a prison work detail.
I guess I’m ok with this. I imagine that getting on the work crew and the threat of losing a spot on the crew is a great tool for keeping order inside. And it must feel great to get out of a cell even under armed guard.
And not using a private company keeps taxes down. Then again, using a private landscaping company would profit the city too as they would pay payroll taxes, and the crew would spend their money in and around the city rather than being fed and sheltered by the city.
Nice trail run, going for long slow distance tomorrow. Lsd yo.
And my hill work was longer than I thought on Tuesday—hill is .8 mile long by road and the trail is longer, so my guess is that I did 5.6 miles of hills.
45 minutes of crap. Just a horrible run. Maybe 4 miles. My right shin hurt, but not enough to stop. I just was running on empty. I slept 11 hours last night/this morning, but maybe my week of insomnia caught up to me. Idk.
Giving it another go—off to the park to run with the Weez.
Icing my shins before hand. Such an exciting life.
Portrait of the Artist as an Injured Man.
Damn my legs hurt. Icing again after my 35 minute/3 mile run with Eloise, and will ice again later.
Shin splints please to bite me.
4.7 miles in the heat. Pretty dry, however. The park I run in is a tinder box, and no rain in the forecast until Wednesday.
Great Odin, bring us rain.
28 minute trail run. I might be damaged. Who does that?
Best part? Nearly passing a very nervous, clearly new to the game, mountain biker. At least he wasn’t dressed for la Tour de Pond.
I only got in 12 miles total during AP as wow it was hard to stay motivated on my running program while getting up that early and working that hard.
So yesterday and today I went short and fast to try get my metabolism going again. I’m sure I got back up over two bills again.
Total for the two days: 58 minutes, 6 miles. Total Heat indexes: 196.
