For waking me up at 6:30 then dropping diarrhea all over the mud room after you went out.
Good times.
Here’s Eloise waiting for her Addison’s shot. All blood work was normal, and she’s good for another month.
Eloise does indeed want her supper.
added: I have no idea why Tumblr flips this upside down.
Eloise is worn out from dinner and is taking a well earned siesta.
Tired puppies.
Ok, Eloise makes me happy. Funny looking dog ftw.
Can’t leave Sophie out of this get happy moment. Handsome dog is handsome.
Our first dog, our non-Addison’s dog, our Sophie is very sick.
Worst case scenario: liver cancer, obviously a death sentence.
Best case scenario: hepatitis or a toxin she ate that will clear up with anti-biotics.
Just dropped two bills on her meds and vet visit, and there’s another two bills in the post to do an ultra-sound to see what’s going on with the liver. How can I not spend that money? But there’s no room in our budget for another $200.
She’s ten, so you know, not ancient, but no spring chicken either.
Damn but I love this dog. Keep a good thought, would ya?

I am in no mood to grade today. I just want to hug my girl and feed her bacon.
Well, let’s see how this goes.
Sophie had her first anti-biotics in some rice at noon and kept it down, so I fed her 1/2 a cup of rice just now. She got up and barked like a fool at the FedEx man, so she can’t be hurting too much.
Keep a good thought for my mother who had to put her dog down today.
Poor ole Dulcie was 12 and caught Lyme’s Disease that got into her kidneys.
She was a great, great dog. Loved the water (that pic was taken in December iirc) and was a gentle, kind soul. I will miss that dog.
She was a very soulful ole girl.
Thanks for the kind words y’all. I really hope that my father does the right thing and adopts a pound puppy for Mother’s Day.
Thanks again for the kind words—especially @Mama_Fratelli and @IndoorCat.
We’re going to take our dogs for a walk and a whole lot of hugs.
Occasionally, my FB feed gives me something useful. This, from a friend who helped save Eloise’s life, is one of those times.
