Upworthy posted these today, and I was devastated to discover that they were not an image set on their Tumblr. Seriously, though, the food service industry needs a complete overhaul. In the mean time, enjoy your food!

Some states/cities have a higher wage but the 2nd picture in this image set is incorrect. Currently, the federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour, not $8.25.

There is also a second, much lower minimum wage for servers who earn tips. When I waited tables, my ‘wages’ were always eaten up by taxes and so I got a voided check every week and owed taxes on my tips.
