This is dumb. You can argue the BBWAA is blinded by old school measures like the triple crown, fine. And Albom sucks, obviously. But old white guys loving a Venezuelan with a sketchy past over a young white American upstart? Yeah. Sure.
Agree in that, yes, but the framing of Albom and the CHB (unnamed but definitely anti-Sabermetrics) against Nate Silver et al does make sense to me.
I think Ken Tremendous pointed out that if Trout hit 3 more singles (3 more Texas Leaguers, three more dying quails, three more seeing eye singles), he wins the batting championship, and probably MVP. Just saying.

Thing is, it just doesn’t warrant the hand wringing. It’s an award that’s necessarily biased, being decided by 28 people.
The only issue of import here: Albom sucks
