Throughout the day, as a way to honor our vereran’s, we’ll be showing you pictures of athletes who have served in the military. First up is Ted Williams. The Splendid Splinter served twice, first from 1942 - 46 and again from 1952 - 53.
Not only was Ted the best hitter than ever played, he was a great, great fighter pilot (don’t take my word, take Chuck Yeager’s), and one of the greatest fishermen that ever lived.
Ted Williams is on the short list for GOAT in three incredibly difficult endeavors.
