It’s better to be a campus cop on a UC campus than a professor.
Lt. John Pike’s salary was higher than most Associate Professors’ in the humanities in the UC system, all Assistant Professors’ in the Humanities and many in the Sciences, and even some FULL Professors’.
And that’s about all that needs be said for educational priorities at one of the world’s best public systems of Higher Education.
